What Levin locals say
Rated 5.0 on Google (22 reviews)"First Tech Electrical was amazing to deal with. He was very quick and efficient, with great pricing! He replaced a switch that had burnt out in our laundry, put a new heat pump in and replaced our old school circuit board. These upgrades have made a huge difference to our home. Thanks Kees for your awesome work, and we highly recommend First Tech Electrical. We will be using them again."
"Great communication, showed up on time and installed heat pump as quoted and also gave me a garage lighting upgrade. Highly recommend."
"Exceptional service! Turned up to wire up my little house 2 days after I called them up. Made no mess, top notch tidy work. Reasonably priced. Will be doing all my sparky work now."
"Highly recommend, great communication, punctual. Explained everything clearly and offered different options. Fantastic service."
Levin is the southern end of our patch, and we come down regularly for heat pump installations and bigger electrical work. You get a registered electrician who also holds a refrigerant handling licence, so the heat pump and all the wiring behind it are done by the same person on the same visit, rather than you coordinating two trades around each other.
Our Levin work is mostly heat pump installations and planned electrical projects - switchboard upgrades, lighting, new circuits and renovation work - the jobs worth booking a day for. If you have something smaller, give us a yell anyway and we will let you know what we can do and when we are next down your way.
A lot of Levin housing is older stock, and that matters for heat pumps. Plenty of homes around the town centre and out towards Waitarere still have tired switchboards that need sorting before a new unit goes on, and because we are registered electricians we can handle that as part of the same job instead of sending you off to find someone else.

Yes. Levin is the furthest south we go, and we are down regularly for heat pump installations and bigger electrical jobs. We do not cover Whanganui.
Is there a travel charge to Levin? ▾
For installation work we build everything into the fixed quote, so the price you see is the price. We will always be upfront about it before you commit.
Can you do a smaller job in Levin? ▾
Give us a yell and we will let you know. We are down that way regularly for installs, so smaller jobs often fit in around them - we will be upfront about timing when you call.
Can you upgrade an old switchboard before a heat pump goes in? ▾
Yes, and it is a common one in older Levin homes. Because we are registered electricians we handle the switchboard and the heat pump as one job rather than you organising two trades.
